Our Mission
Justice, advocacy, and academic excellence are values interwoven into the fabric of Emory.
The purpose of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) is to support Emory's institutional mission "to create, teach, preserve, and apply knowledge in the service of humanity" by championing the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and human and social justice that undergirds that mission.
By framing that humanity, in all of the inspiring splendor and richness of the human fabric, we continue to help to cultivate a campus community ethos where everyone can bring their whole selves with them to work, teach, learn, and create in ways that are innovative, inspired, equitable, and inclusive.
It is also our privilege to partner with academic departments, units, and administrative offices that are key interlocutors and advocates of that work.
